On January 9, Guangzhou Post held the award ceremony of the 2021 "Fu Niu He Sui" Stamp Design Competition at the Guangzhou Library. At the awards ceremony, teachers and parents said that this design competition provided a platform for children to create and communicate, and also exposed children to traditional Chinese zodiac culture and philatelic culture.

The "Fu Niu He Sui" stamp design competition is a collection of creative works for the citizens of Guangzhou. The purpose of the competition is to encourage citizens to express their love for Guangzhou by creating new year stamps, incorporating elements such as the image of the ox in the zodiac and the landscape of Guangzhou.
The competition received a total of 16,389 entries from all over the country. The oldest contestant was 74 years old and the youngest was 3 years old. A jury of experts including Guan Yi, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, Wang Enli, a stamp expert, and Meng Fudan, an honorary consultant of the Chinese National Culture Research Institute, selected the works. In the end, the judges selected 2 special prizes, 10 first prizes, 50 second prizes, 100 third prizes, and 300 excellent prizes.

Since 2015, Guangzhou Post has held a zodiac-themed stamp design competition every year. Through the competition activities, the contestants can not only show their artistic talents, but also present a New Year gift to Guangzhou citizens and philately lovers.
